Snacks and Treats
When bringing cupcakes or treats to the classroom, PLEASE be sure all labels and nutritional information is listed. We have many allergies and often need to be sure the product is safe for all students.

Further, items should be store bought, in original sealed packages. Thank you for helping keep students safe.

Safety News
This week in our exploration into the "I Love U Guys" Foundation's Standard Response Protocol (SRP). To refresh your memory, this protocol is based on an all-hazards approach as opposed to individual scenarios. SRP utilizes CLEAR COMMON LANGUAGE while allowing for protocol flexibility.

There are five specific actions that can be performed during an incident. The actions include Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter.

This week we focus on EVACUATE, which means get to a location.

Students are trained to:
  • Leave belongings behind
  • Follow instructions
Staff is trained to:
  • Bring an emergency backpack
  • Lead students to evacuation location
  • Report injuries or problems using building policy

Next week we will wrap up with learning about the SHELTER action.
