    Arrival

    8:30 am: Busses and Walkers begin to arrive at the back gate of the school

    8:40 am: Drop-Off

    8:30 am-8:55 am: Breakfast and Recess or other limited supervised indoor activities

    8:55 am: First Bell

    9:00 am: School Starts

     

    Late Arrival

    The student day begins at 9:00. All students arriving after 9:00 will need a tardy pass in the office. Student tardies and absences are reviewed by the Attendance Team weekly.

     

    Dismissal

    3:25 pm: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

    2:10 pm: Fridays

     

    Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up

    • Drop-off and pick-up are at the front entrance. Please stay in your vehicle and follow staff unloading and loading directions for student safety.

     

    Transportation Changes

    • The school office must be notified of any changes in after-school transportation either via note or phone call before 2:45 pm (M-Th)/1:30 pm Fridays to ensure your student receives the message in time.

    Fairmount Bike/Scooter Safety Rules & Regulations

    For students in grades 3-5.

    Fairmount Elementary is dedicated to keeping all students safe. Bicycle/scooter riders are required to follow our three overarching expectations: Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.

     

    Responsible:

    • Only students in grades 3-5 may ride bikes or scooters to/from school.
    • All students riding a bike or scooter must have a signed note from a parent/guardian giving them permission.

     

    Respectful:

    • Students must follow the directions of the crossing guards and school staff.
    • Students must slow down when approaching or near pedestrians on the sidewalks.

     

    Safe:

    • Helmets must be worn while riding a bike or scooter.
    • Students must follow the walking route.
    • Students must ride scooters and bicycles on the sidewalks.
    • Bikes or scooters will be dismounted and walked on the pathway with woodchips to/from the PKC sidewalk to the bike rack.
    • Bikes and Scooters should be locked to the Bike Rack
      • Bike rack is located near PKC and the pathway
  • Sign and return the bottom portion to the Student Support Center.
