Principal Message

As we say goodbye, I want to take a moment to say thank you.

Serving as principal of Fairmount has truly been the best job in the world. While there are many responsibilities that come with being a principal, the greatest privilege has always been the students. My "Why" has always been, and always will be, supporting students. They are the reason I do this work!

Over the past nine years, first as your assistant principal and then as your principal, I have had the opportunity to watch students grow into confident leaders, celebrate countless accomplishments, and witness the kindness, resilience, and joy that make Fairmount such a special place. While I will miss many things, I will miss the students the most. Their smiles on the playground, excitement on the first day of school, curiosity in the hallways, and the connections built every day are what make this work so meaningful.

I will also deeply miss our families. One of the greatest gifts of serving this community has been getting to meet new families each year, learning about the many cultures and experiences that make Fairmount such a vibrant and welcoming place, and partnering side by side to ensure every student succeeds. Events like our Multicultural Nights have always been highlights of my year because they remind us of the strength, beauty, and richness of our community.

As I leave Fairmount, my heart is full! Thank you for trusting me with your children, for partnering with our staff, and for making this community feel like home. Fairmount will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will forever carry the memories, relationships, and lessons this community has given me.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your family's story and for allowing Fairmount to become part of mine. It has truly been an honor.

Congratulations, Arian!

Arian won the annual Chess Club tournament! Way to go! Huge congratulations as well to all of our Chess Club participants, particularly Derek, the runner up. Students showed dedication, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm!

We are proud of each of you for challenging yourselves, learning new strategies, and showing perseverance. Well done, everyone!
