A Note From Principal Klatt

Dear Fairmount Families,
I want to share that I have accepted a new position as Assistant Director of MTSS with the Mukilteo School District for next year.

My nine years at Fairmount have been truly special. Serving as principal has been an honor, and this community has meant so much to me. From my early days in education, when I first hoped for the chance to work here, to my time as a student teacher, classroom teacher, assistant principal, and now principal, Fairmount has been a place of growth, connection, and purpose.

Together, we have experienced both challenges and success. Through it all, what has stood out most is the strength, care, and dedication of this community. Fairmount is a place where students, families, and staff support one another, and that spirit is something I will always carry with me. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been part of this school community; you will always have a special place in my heart.

As we move through the remainder of the school year, my focus will remain on supporting our students and ensuring a smooth transition for the future. I am committed to helping Fairmount continue its strong path forward.

Thank you for being such an important part of this journey.

Bente Klatt

  • Eat a nutritious breakfast each morning.
  • Be at school on time, every day, ready to show what you know.
  • Do their best but don’t worry or be overly anxious about the test.
Please contact Mrs. Williams, Dean of Students, with questions you may have regarding SBA testing.
