Read Together with Mrs. Hamilton's Students and Sno-Isle Libraries

Sno-Isle Libraries invited Mrs. Hamilton's grade 3 class to share thoughts about the Read Together Program. Per the Sno-Isle website, "this annual program encourages patrons in Snohomish and Island Counties to read the same book, inviting exploration of new ideas and providing opportunities to experience the joy of discovery".

For more information about Sno-Isle libraries; check out this website.

Summer Reading Programs

This week in the library students are learning about 3 summer reading programs. Keeping your child reading over the summer is important for a successful transition into the next grade level. Reading is an easy and effective way to stop summer learning loss. Keep your child motivated by joining one or all of these FREE programs.

  • Keep reading all summer long with Sno-Isle Libraries! Kids and teens who read 10 hours will get a FREE book and patch!!! ALL reading is encouraged - any book, any language, and any format! Being read to by someone or listening to an audiobook count! Visit the Mukilteo Library or Mariner Library for a reading log, library card, community art activities, fun events and books!!!!

  • Real Dawgs Read Summer Reading Students who read at least 20 minutes a day on 30 separate days earn a Husky reward and reading certificate. Students will either bring home a paper reading log this week or they can also record their reading online by clicking this link and following the steps. All reading hours must be submitted by September 5, 2025.

  • Barnes and Noble Summer Reading This summer, kids in grades 1-6 earn a FREE book through the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program. Read any eight books and record them in the Summer Reading Journal. When finished, bring it to a Barnes & Noble store and choose your free book! Redeemable 7/1-8/31.

Are You Moving?

Classroom placement is thoughtfully considered in order to create balanced  classrooms. If your family anticipates moving from Fairmount’s service area or if you have already moved and your student(s) will be attending a different school next year, please contact the school office.
