Congratulations Jen, 5th grader in Miss Baker’s class, for being recognized at Tuesday’s school board meeting for exemplifying our school and district focus on Belonging. Jen was nominated by her teacher for her caring and thoughtful ways of including others. She has a special way ensuring everyone feels they are a valued member of the school community. We are so proud of you Jen!

 
It's Always a Great Day to Support Literacy!

It's always a great day to support literacy! Mukilteo Schools Foundation has granted $2,500 to Discovery Elementary and Fairmount Elementary to expand their multilingual libraries.

Having books in multiple languages encourages students to keep reading (in any language) and is especially helpful as they master the English language. Many of the books they plan to order with these funds tell stories in both English and another language to help students bridge their reading skills from their home language to English.

We'll be back to help celebrate the expansion of their multilingual libraries at school events in April.

Fairmount Band Concert

The Eastside Combined Band Concert will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Mariner High School gymnasium (students should arrive by 6:00 PM).

This special event will feature the Fairmount Beginning Band, along with bands from other elementary schools, Explorer Middle School, Voyager Middle School, and Mariner High School.

We look forward to an evening of great music and celebrating our talented student musicians!
 

Kindergarten Registration is Now Open!

Families can register online or visit their neighborhood Elementary School between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on school days to pick up a registration packet. Families who register at their neighborhood school in March and April will receive a free backpack and school supplies!

Family Engagement Center (FEC) Open House


You are warmly invited to join us for the Family Engagement Center (FEC) Open House on Wednesday, April 29 from 5:00PM- 7:00PM! This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the center, explore the resources available, and connect with others in our school community.
The FEC is dedicated to welcoming, supporting, and connecting all Mukilteo School District families. It serves as a space where families and schools come together to build community, strengthen partnerships, and create meaningful opportunities for engagement.

At the center, families can access a variety of resources, including emergency food and clothing support. The FEC also hosts informational and educational events for families and students, helping build knowledge, strengthen skills, and foster strong community connections.

During the Open House, you can:
  • Meet local community vendors
  • Enter to win door prizes
  • Enjoy light refreshments
  • Learn more about the services and support available to families
Location: Explorer Middle School – House 3 (across from the Teaching & Learning Center). Easily accessible from the parking lot entrance.
